Internal Family Systems Therapy

IFS is a style of therapy that focuses on understanding your internal parts. We have all said it, “A part of me really wanted to, but another part felt weary.” IFS helps you get in touch with the parts of you that may be in conflict. Together we will get to know the different parts and help bring them into balance.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic psychotherapy is based on the idea that traumatic experiences cause dysfunction in our nervous system and prevent us from processing our experiences fully. Within our sessions you will learn to become more aware of your body, begin to recognize how it has learned to respond to painful experiences and learn to release tension, anger and negative emotions.

Mindfulness

Meditation is a historic Buddhist practice that teaches us to observe ourselves without reaction or judgement. Within our work together we will use mindfulness to support you in regulating your nervous system, emotions and developing a nonjudgmental relationship to yourself and the world around you.
